A Handout flyer for 2021
The Greater Susquehanna Valley Penn State Chapter is getting ready for our Annual Scholarship Awards Program in conjunction with our annual pig roast held annually on the fourth week of August at the New Berlin American Legion. This year our chapter is awarding four $1,000 scholarships to incoming freshmen attending PennState from Union, Snyder and NorthumberlandCounties. In addition, we are pleased to announce that students attending PennCollege are also eligible to apply for our scholarships. We are also awarding four $1,000 endowed scholarships to PennState students from Union, Snyder and Northumberland Counties who have completed a minimum of 4 semesters at Penn State. This endowed scholarship is based on both academic performance and need. Since its inception in 1982, the Greater Susquehanna Valley Penn State Chapter scholarship fund has provided more than $150,000.00 in scholarship monies to worthy students carrying on the pride and tradition of our beloved Pennsylvania State University.
Again this year our Chapter is putting together a souvenir program booklet, given to each person in attendance at our annual pig roast, which benefits our scholarship fund. Our annual pig roast is attended by hundreds of Penn State Alumni, Students and Supporters and features the entire PennState cheerleading squad and the most recognized mascot in the world, the Penn State Nittany Lion.
You, as a chapter member, can support our scholarship fund with your patronage in this year’s program booklet. We offer the opportunity for your name, family name or one line message to appear in our patron section of the program booklet for just $10.00. Your support of our scholarship fund and all area students attending PennState to further their education is greatly appreciated.
Please review this patronage opportunity with your family. Your tax-deductible contribution to our annual scholarship fund is greatly appreciated.
